Judge Hands Down Unbelievable Punishment To Black Woman Who Kidnapped and Tortured White Disabled Man

Brittany Covington, 19, the Chicago area teen who kidnapped and tortured an 18-year-old, white, disabled man, along with three other racists, has pled guilty to a hate crime. The incident sparked national outrage because of the racial aspect of the crime and the kidnappers in the video forcing the victim to drink toilet water and say, “f— Donald Trump.” Even more unbelievable than the crime is the punishment Ms. Covington received. For her guilty plea, Ms. Covington was sentenced to 4 years probation. The sentence, which is unusually light given the hate crime charge, is representative of the liberal bias in our justice system. Had the offenders been white, and the victim black, it is a sure bet that the sentence would involve some actual jail time.

Cook County Circuit Judge William Hooks handed down the lenient sentence and also banned Brittany Covington from social media for four years forbade her from having any contact with her co-defendants, and she must complete 200 hours of community service. Judge Hooks also stated to Ms. Covington on the subject of a prison sentence that, “I’m not sure if I did that you’d be coming out any better.”

The terms of Ms. Covington’s probation are very strict and should she violate the terms of her probation, she will be going straight to jail. In addition to pleading guilty to a hate crime, Ms. Covington also pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and intimidation. Shamefully, in return for her guilty plea, prosecutors dropped the kidnapping charge along with other serious charges which would have brought certain prison time.

The three other people who can be seen in the video, the alleged ringleader Jordan Hill, 19, Tesfaye Cooper, 19, and Tanishia Covington. 25, all have pending cases, which have not been adjudicated.

During this horrific event, Brittany Covington can be seen in the video smoking what appears to be marijuana while narrating the events taking place. The video which was live- streamed on Facebook back in January depicts all four offenders who are African-American, cutting the 18-year-old white victim’s scalp. They also repeatedly punched and kicked the victim while laughing at him. Making the scene even more disturbing was that the victim was bound and gagged for most of the incident.

The video sparked national outrage with then President Barack Obama condemning the actions of these racist offenders, while conservatives used the incident as a focal point to demonstrate that BlackLivesMatter was responsible for this horrific event.

The torture that this young white man had to endure was brutal. In the video, one woman can be seen punching the teen, while one of the male offenders places his foot on the victims head, while he has a cord wrapped around his neck, while the other male offender holds a knife and says, “Should I shank his a–?” While being subdued, the victim had a sock placed in his mouth with his lips being taped shut. Jordan Hill can then be seen cutting hair from the victim’s scalp causing him to bleed, and then stabbed him in the left arm.

The victim in the case suffers from schizophrenia as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Eventually, he was able to escape from his captors who were distracted by neighbors who came over to complain about the noise being caused by all the mayhem. Thankfully, the physical wounds were not life-threatening, and the victim was released from the hospital the same day. Unfortunately, the emotional scars that this incident caused will not heal so easily.

This case is a prime example of the extreme racial tensions caused by the Obama Administration along with the metastasizing of BlackLivesMatter. When Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States, this somehow further emboldened racist groups to encourage hate crimes against whites like the one mentioned in this story.

It is shameful that Ms. Covington only got 4 years probation, a slap on the wrist for a racially motivated crime which should have included jail time. The prosecutors in this case, along with Cook County Circuit Judge William Hooks, failed the victim in this case, along with the honest law abiding citizens of Chicago.
