Liberal Media Claim These Pictures “Prove” That Melania Has a Body Double

Twitter is currently going insane with the conspiracy theory that Melania Trump has a body double. A theory which was started by one user all based on a video of Melania Trump standing with the President while he addressed some issues on the White House lawn last week. The social media world is now rapid firing this conspiracy and it’s newly created hashtag #FakeMelania. Apparently if you stand just right and have an off look about you that somehow means you now have a body double and there has to be some highly secret reason as to why!

“This is not Melania. To think they would go this far and try and make us think it’s her on TV is mind blowing,” posted Twitter user Joe Vargas.
“Makes me wonder what else is a lie,” he added.

The theory took off when a Twitter account we can obviously trust,, proposed the exact same theory on Wednesday., a self-identified “Cannapreneeur” poised to become the Nate Silver of conspiracy theories, proposed some evidence that, prima facie, is damning:

That was all it took for Twitter users to latch onto the theory and run with it. Some in a much more humorous way than others.

President Trump was speaking to the waiting media on the lawn before a simple trip to visit a nearby US Secret Service training facility.

Mr. Vargas made sure to claim that the President was clearly trying to convince the media that his wife was with him during his remarks.
In the video clip above, President Trump is heard saying: “My wife Melania, who happens to be right here, finds that subject to be of such vital importance, she’s very much involved.”

Mr. Vargas’ tweet claims that the woman next to the President is not his wife and that the statement clearly indicates as much. The tweet racked up nearly 50,000 retweets, and #FakeMelania started trending on the social media site.

While some are convinced the woman standing next to Mr Trump was not his wife, others took a bit of an uglier turn and joked that it had to be her, because the President would not be able to find another woman prepared to spend time with him.

Either way you twist it the question really is, what does it matter? If the President’ wife, or the President for that matter, felt the need for a body double it would make perfect sense. Seriously. How many times does this pair receive threats that are probably quite serious and viable? A body double wouldn’t be out of the question when things like that arise. Yet, none of these tweets or photos really show any proof of such a claim. Maybe the First Lady just got caught in a weird light and the lens was off slightly.

Photos from later in the trip, where the First Lady is not wearing sunglasses, show clearly that Melania Trump was at the Secret Service facility with her husband, and there is no disputing that point at all. No one has come up with any evidence that a switch was made at any point between the interview and the visit.

U.S. President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump tour the U.S. Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center in Beltsville, Maryland.

Let this be a lesson that people should really make sure they Tweet responsibly. Although the situation has caused more humor than harm, it is still highly important to stop trying to find any little thing that can be used as a weapon against our President and the First Family. No matter what side you are on it is getting quite tiring to constantly be barraged with so much fake news, and made-up gerrymandering simply to continue a rift that doesn’t need to even exist.

I am fairly certain that Melania finds all of this quite amusing in the same classy way that she found the attacks about her shoes. Petty and unimportant. Who knows, maybe she will show up to the next event with her “body double” in toe to make light of the entire situation. That should set the twitter-spere on fire!
